- Handicap will be offered to those who are interested and participating in Trap-Singles for no additional practice fee. Handicap distance will be added into the shooting rotation in May with the second round of 25 shot at the handicap distance appropriate for their age division.

The team will have five weeks of practice before moving into the conference shooting schedule. Athletes may elect to participate in five (5) invitational or state shoots as part of their registration fees. Of those five events, the VLS hosted invitational on May 4, 2024 and one State event are included. Each athlete will receive an team jersey and team sweatshirt, ATA and SCTP memberships, and 14-weeks of clay targets at SCC for Trap – Singles and Skeet. Trap-Doubles will build on the skills learned with Trap-Singles and begin the week of April 14 with a 10-week schedule.
Athlete registration is $225. The VLS Registration and Waiver form must be completed for each Athlete with registration payment submitted by January 28, 2024. Additional SCTP forms must be completed prior to February 20 and will be emailed to registered athletes and parent/guardians.
Important dates for the 2024 Season:
- Viking Lead Slingers registration and payment is due January 28, 2024
- New Shooter Orientation is January 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
- All new shooters and their parent/guardian should attend if possible. Please contact the coaches if you are not able to attend.
- VLS Q&A Session for past athletes is January 28, 2024, Noon – 2:00 PM
- Viking Lead Slingers first practice will be Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
- Trap – Singles practices continue on Sundays through June
- Skeet and Trap – Doubles Practice schedule will be confirmed with enrolled athletes
