Scholarships at Stoughton Conservation Club

The Stoughton Conservation Club Scholarship is available to children or dependents of a SCC member in good standing. Qualifying members must have a minimum of 2 years of previous membership. Individuals may receive this scholarship a maximum of two times High School graduation is required prior to award. The club encourages and supports those students who choose to commit their studies and eventual careers in conservation and preservation of the environment. This does not limit opportunities for a broad selection of endeavors, For example an auto mechanic may participate by making vehicle emissions as clean & efficient as possible. The club is committed to assisting with higher education coals for qualified applicants.

All scholarship applications must be complete as submitted. The submission deadline is May 1st of each year. Post marks will be used to determine the delivery date. Late, incomplete, illegible, or partial applications will not be considered.

What do you need to do?

Create your application following the requirements and guidelines below and mail it to the address provided.

Required Application Information

  • Your name and address.
  • Your parent or guardian’s name, address, and phone number. (Must be a member)
  • Your parent or guardian’s initial membership date.
  • High school transcript or a similar academic school record.
  • ACT, SAT, or similar testing information that may be available.
  • GPA and class rank.
  • Intended higher education goal, technical school or college. [Registration must be confirmed prior to award.]
  • Current college or technical school students should provide transcript to date with current information about credits earned, GPA, and curriculum intention, with major emphasis (if any)
  • List significant participation in civic activities, sports, volunteer activities, charity or other notable endeavors.
  • List special interests, activities, leadership, and academic honors that may be of note
  • Include a written statement of 300 words or less indicating your educational and social goals. [Be clear about how your course of study will enable you to achieve your stated goals and contribute to a community.]
  • Submit 3 letters of recommendation from a variety of sources; a teacher, parent, employer, community leader, or other person significant in your life.
