Skeet 2 Wireless Controller is BACK!

The remote finally came back from being reprogrammed and is installed and ready for use with the Long Range card readers.

The remotes will be in the tacklebox in skeet house 1.

Thanks Dan Ripp!

Long Range Card Readers Moving Inside

The Long Range card Readers are moving inside the skeet houses to better protect them from the Wisconsin weather. Several people from other clubs that have this system have recommended moving them inside, so we are taking their advice to avoid potential costly repairs and downtime later.

The reader for Skeet 2 and Trap 4 have already moved inside if you want to check it out.

Thursday Night Trap and Skeet

Don’t forget!

On Thursday nights this fall, there is a members-only trap and skeet fun/practice league. All you have to do is show up to shoot. You’ll use your Long Range Card to buy your rounds. Shooting starts around 6:00.

Don’t have a Long Range Card? See above and sign up for the orientation October 11 at 5:30.

Don’t know how to shoot trap and/or skeet? Bring your shotgun and 25 rounds of ammo (12 GA is available to purchase for use at the club). Talk to anyone and I’m sure they’ll help you get started.

Skeet on Field 2 – Fixed!

UPDATE 9/20/2022: Skeet on field 2 is working!

We believe the card reader issue is solved, but the wireless control hasn’t been shipped back yet. You can use skeet 2 with the cord plugged into the Long Range card reader.

UPDATE 9/18/2022: Skeet on field 2 is out of service.

The card reader is not working again. Monday Morning Members-Only league should use field 3 for skeet with the cord.

The Long Range committee is continuing to work with the vendor to get this resolved.

UPDATE 9/16/2022: Skeet on field 2 is now available.

The Long Range card reader now works correctly for skeet on field 2. The wireless remote is still out for reprogramming, but you can shoot skeet with the cord.  See below for pictures of where to plug in the cord.

As of August 31st, skeet on field 2 is out of service. No ETA.

We are working to get it back up ASAP. We have to send some parts in so it might be a week or more before we get it back in service. The good news is that once we get it back to working condition the problem with Long Range system should also be fixed.

The Monday morning members-only shooters can use Skeet on field 3 and pay cash for their rounds. You’ll have to use the long cord.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

– Long Range Committee

2022 Centerfire Pistol League

The 2022 Centerfire Pistol League starts soon!

The 2022 season of the Centerfire Pistol League will kick off on Thursday, September 8th with a rules meeting and practice night. If you’re new to the league please try to attend. The meeting usually starts around 6:30.

This year we have a new online scoring system. Please attend if you’d like to learn how that works. It allows you to view your scores and league history. The online system is fully optional.

The first night of league shooting is Thursday, September 15th.

If you’re not sure about joining, come down on September 8th, and we’ll explain how everything works and let you try it out. All you need is any centerfire pistol that is .32 caliber or larger (some restrictions apply) and can fire 5 shots. Popular calibers are .45 ACP, 9mm, and .38. You will also need 30 rounds of ammunition per night.

We shoot 10 weeks and the best 8 scores count in friendly competition.

The last league night is November 17th, and the Fun Night banquet will be December 1st.
