We have an opening for one team to join for the 2024 Summer Trap League season. Please contact us at trapleague@stoughtoncc.com ASAP if you’re interested in joining.

2024 Summer Trap League

Summer trap league is right around the corner! The changes that were made to the league last year got overwhelmingly positive feedback, so we’re keeping them. There won’t be any real changes to the league format this year, but the season will start about 2 weeks earlier than last year due to July 4th being on a Thursday.

Important Season Dates:

  • Captains Meeting: March 28 at 5:30 PM
    • New shooters should also attend.
  • All 2023 teams will have a reserved spot if they sign up by April 11. After April 11, any new teams will be signed up and you could lose your spot.
  • Deadline for all signups: April 25
  • Practice Dates
    • April 11
    • April 18
    • April 25
    • All practices will be 6-8 PM, use your own long range card.
  • League dates:
    • Start: May 2
    • No league July 4
    • End: August 8
    • Fun Night: August 15

Costs:

Costs have gone up slightly due to increased target costs.

  • Adult Shooters: $135
  • Youth Shooters: $100

Team captains are responsible for getting all league fees turned in on or before May 2. Captains are encouraged to write one check if possible.

Food will be back for 2024! Dave Everett and team will be making food each week. Thanks Dave!

Trap and Skeet Field Maintenance

Over the next couple of weeks there will be some maintenance projects happening on the trap and skeet fields.
As always, any maintenance work takes priority over shooting. If you show up to shoot, and there’s work being done, feel free to lend a hand if you can.
Here’s a few of the projects to watch out for:
  • The siding is being replaced on the skeet houses
  • Edging around all of the sidewalks
  • Concrete – Each field is having some concrete work done.

Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

April 12th and 19th

8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Our cleaning service will be doing an extra level of cleaning at the main clubhouse and archery range. In order to make this go as efficiently as possible, the clubhouse and indoor archery range will be closed from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Friday, April 12th and Friday, April 19th.

Trap and Skeet will be open, but you won’t be able to go inside to load your long range card or use the bathrooms since the building will be closed.

After 5:00 PM the facility will be open as normal.

Thanks for understanding!

Customer Hearing Protection

Hear4Ever is coming back this year to make custom injected ear plugs for our VLS athletes and SCC club members! They will be here on March 24th from 9:00 to 3:30. This event filled up fast last year, so get signed up right away!

Please sign up here:

https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0949A4AB28A1F94-47908934-custom#/

These are fantastic ear plugs! They’re very comfortable. They’re easy to put in and take out. They’re very effective! And they last a long time.

It takes about 1 hour or so from start to finish. You’ll spend about 10-15 minutes in the chair to pick your colors and options and for the earplugs to be injected. Then it takes around an hour for your earplugs to cure and get the finishing touches.

We’ll have sign-up slots every 15 minutes, but last year they were able to squeeze in some extras, so if all of the sign-up slots are full you might want to just show up and hang around, they might be able to get you in.

Prices:
Youth: $65
Adults: $75
Lanyard (optional): $5
Filters(optional): $20 (set)
