Custom Hearing Protection

Hear4Ever is coming back this year to make custom injected ear plugs for our VLS athletes and SCC club members! They will be here on March 16th from 9:00 to 3:30.

These are amazing ear plugs! They’re easy to put in and take out. They’re very comfortable, they’re very effective! Plus, they will last for years.

It takes about 1 hour or so from start to finish. You’ll spend about 10-15 minutes in the chair to pick your colors and options and for the earplugs to be injected. Then it takes around 45 minutes to an hour for your earplugs to cure and get the finishing touches.

We’ll have sign-up slots every 15 minutes, but last year they were able to squeeze in some extras, so if all of the sign-up slots are full you might want to just show up and hang around, they might be able to get you in.

SCC Winter Activities

There’s a lot going on at SCC over the new few months!

62nd Annual Ice Fisheree – January 25th

The Ice Fisheree will take place on January 25th. Fishing starts at midnight and runs until 4:00 PM. Fisheree HQ is at Springers on Lake Kegonsa.

This is our main club fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the raffles fund our youth programs and Lake improvements, like the walleye stocking.

Many Club members are selling raffle tickets and several local businesses, including Quam’s Motor Sports, Quick Stop BP on Barber Dr., and Springers on Lake Kegonsa.

Leagues

Indoor Archery League – January 7

Indoor Archery League starts on Tuesday, January 7th and runs for 12 weeks. If you’re interested in participating contact Roger Kluever.

22 Rimfire Pistol League – January 2

The 22 Rimfire Pistol League starts on Thursday, January 2nd with the setup meeting (around 6:30) and practice night. League shooting starts on January 9th and runs for 12 weeks. League banquet will be April 3rd.

This is a fun league with some friendly competition. All level shooters are welcome!

Our pistol leagues are bullseye style leagues. You will shoot a total of 30 shots per night. You will need any type of pistol that shoots 22 LR and some ammo.

The cost of the league is $60 and covers the targets, prizes, and the banquet.

Any new shooters should be sure to attend on January 2nd!

Youth Archery League – January 4

Youth Archery League starts on Saturday January 4th at 11:30. You can sign up that day or email stoughtonyoutharcheryleague@gmail.com.

League shooting starts on January 11th and runs for 8 weeks (skipping January 25th).

Cost is $20 and includes targets, a T-shirt, and the end of season celebration.

Youth archery league participants must have their own equipment.

Black Sheep Pistol League – TBD

Black Sheep Pistol League runs on Wednesday nights. Start date TBA. Contact Shawn Smith for more information.

Youth Trap and Skeet – January 19th/March 2

Sign-up for Viking Lead Slingers, our youth trap and skeet team, is on Sunday, January 19 at 11:00 AM at the main clubhouse.

The VLS season starts Sunday, March 2nd and runs through June.

Women’s Open Pistol Shoot

Women club members and non-members are welcome to attend the Women’s Open Shoot at the Pistol Range. Bring your pistol, ammo, eye and ear protection, and targets, and come to the Women’s Open Shoot.

Meet other women club members or experience the club first hand! Free for members. $5 for non-members. (Cash only). Non-members do not need to accompany a member to attend.

A woman NRA Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer will be onsite for guidance, if needed.

Indoor Archery League

The 2025 Indoor Archery League season is coming up fast!

There will be a setup meeting on Wednesday, December 18th at 7:00 PM. The league will start on January 7th. If you’re new to the league, please plan to come to the setup meeting if possible.

During the meeting, the new bales will be installed. Please come give us a hand!
