The next month is busy at SCC!

April 15, 8:00-5:00: Hunter Ed. Field Day

The main clubhouse, trap and skeet range, and the rifle range will be closed from 8-5 while new hunters attend their field day.

April 15 at 5:00 PM: Membership Banquet

This will be held at the main clubhouse. There will be an awards and member recognition ceremony, along with a raffle with cash prizes. Cost is $15 or adults with a discount for kids. Dinner includes smelt and a less fishy alternative. Come on out!

April 16: Deadline to order Viking Lead Slingers gear! We have one of the coolest logos around! Get yourself a hat or a shirt and support your local you shooting team. Order here: https://vikingleadslingers2023.itemorder.com/

April 20, 6-8PM: Deadline for trap sign-up. First of four Thursday night trap league practice nights.

Captains should turn in their signup sheets for their teams. You can bring them to the clubhouse that evening or email it. Existing teams will be given priority. After April 20 we will starting filling in new teams. If you’re interested in joining a trap team there are teams looking for extra shooters. There may also be spots for new full teams. Trap league practice night from 6-8 PM. Lights will be on if needed.

April 22: All ranges closed for 4H instructor training.

April 27 at 5:00: Long Range trap and skeet system orientation.

April 28 at 6:00: Archery Night Shoot under the trap field lights!

Come out to shoot ASA Style 3D Archery under the lights on April 28th! Luck of the draw partner shoot, first come first serve. 40 shooters max, with a 50% payout! $20 for adults, $10 for kids. Questions? Contact Addisen Wineka

May 1: Deadline for scholarship applications!

Get your applications in by May 1st! This is for higher ed students. If you are going to a college or tech school next year, you should apply! You can receive this scholarship twice, so don’t forget to apply. More info on the website: https://stoughtoncc.com/scholarship-application/

May 18: First night of trap league.

May 20: First of four Sporting Clays events.

Every 3rd Saturday until August SCC will set up a Sporting Clays course that is open to the public. All you need is a shotgun of any gauge and 50 shells (#7.5 or smaller shot). The club has some shells available to sell for the events.
