Outdoor Summer Broadhead League
The outdoor range cleanup is around the end of April or first part of May from 8:00am until finished (see calendar for date). Course conditions will determine which tasks are completed. Helpers are asked to bring shovels, rakes, loppers, chain saws, etc.
The league organizational meeting (see calendar) will be at the pistol building with league starting the following Wednesday. The league will run for 12 weeks.
Each shooter must be a member of the Stoughton Conservation Club.
Times of shooting can be any time of the day or evening on Wednesdays and up to 5pm on Thursdays.
Teams are 2 people, and you can come with a partner or not – we’ll find someone for you. The grill will be going every League night, so BYOMOD (Bring Your Own Meat Or Dinner).

Outdoor Archery Broadhead League
SCC maintains an outdoor archery range and a “Woods Course.” During the summer, we have an Outdoor Archery League using the Woods Course. Basically, you walk the course and shoot arrows at designated points at designated targets. It’s excellent practice for Bow Hunting because the course has one shooting arrows through the woods, around trees and bushes, from “tree stands”, and many other realistic hunting scenarios. It’s a “Broadhead” league, but you can shoot field points. However, broadheads give you a bigger cut that could go into the next scoring ring, and you lose the practice with your broadheads. The targets are cardboard deer and bear silhouettes, with scoring rings not visible to the shooter. Yardages are not marked along the 28-target course, including tree stands – to train you to judge distances.
One other great aspect of this type of league is the Family aspect. We have LOTS of teams consisting of fathers and sons, brothers, even mothers and sons. All you need is a bow, a few arrows and you’re set!
