Guest Policy

Each club member with a valid access card may bring one guest. A guest is defined as an individual and members of that individual’s immediate family, similar to how the Club defines “a member.”

To use the ranges, a guest must be registered and pay a $10 fee for a one-day guest pass, as well as any applicable fees (such as for targets). The guest fee is waived for active-duty military family members stationed out of state.

We encourage repeat guests to become full members of the Club.

Guest passes are available near the doors of the Main Clubhouse and Pistol Building.

Prospective members may view, but not use, Club facilities if escorted by a member. To use the facilities, they must be registered and have the guest fee paid.

Guests may not participate in club leagues or events that are not otherwise open to the public.

Guests must always be accompanied by the member. Members are responsible for signing in their guests, supervising them, and ensuring they always follow Club rules. Members are held accountable for any violations or misconduct by their guests, as well as for all violations and abuse of the guest policy.

Public events do not require guest passes, bring as many friends as you want!

Examples

A member may invite their neighbor and his neighbor’s teenage son along to shoot trap. Both the neighbor and the neighbor’s son together are “the guest.” Pay $10.

A member may not invite their neighbor, his son, and his son’s friend. The friend would be a second guest, and more than the limit.

A member may not invite their neighbor and the neighbor’s fiancée, as that would be two guests, more than the limit (when they get married they’d be one “guest” again, though).

However, a husband and wife who have both been issued valid access cards could invite both the neighbor and the neighbor’s fiancée, one per member. Pay $20 total.

A member may bring his youth grandson along to shoot trap, as part of his family. However, if the grandson’s dad comes along he would be a guest. Pay $10.

“Can we have a bachelor party at the Club?” is almost universally answered “no,” but would be fine if half the party were members, and each brought a single guest. Better yet, schedule the party on a day where there’s a public Sporting Clays event!

If there are questions, contact the Board of Directors, or ask at a general membership or Board meeting.
