2026 Ice Fisheree Rules
All fish must be legally caught from Lake Kegonsa during the hours of the official Fisheree (January 31ST, 2026- 12:00AM-4:00PM).

All Wisconsin Fishing Regulations Apply
- All decisions made by Ice Fisheree officials are final.
- The fish must be caught during the specified event hours and must be presented at the official weigh in site by 4pm on the day of the event.
- Any infraction of these rules will result in immediate disqualification.
General Raffle Ticket Required to Enter
- Fisheree entries must be registered by 4:00PM (fishermen waiting in line to register at 4:00 PM will be eligible). Prizes will be awarded at 4:30 PM or sooner.
- Event officials have the right to reject any entries.
- Registration
- Fishermen must present a Fisheree Raffle Ticket to register fish for hourly and Big Fish drawings to claim prize.
- Officials of the Ice Fisheree reserve the right to cut open and internally inspect all winning fish. Any fish found to have its weight artificially altered will be disqualified and the fisherman disqualified from further competition.
- All fish must be registered as soon as possible after being caught.
- All registered Fish MUST be taken back with you and not left at the registration site.
- Frozen fish may be disqualified by event officials.
- NEW for 2026 – A 6-inch minimum length is required for pan fish to be entered into the contest.
- Pan fish under the 6-inch minimum length limit will not be accepted for registration.
- All Registered Fish will have one of the fins clipped to identify registration. If any fish being registered has a clipped fin, the fish will be disqualified for drawings.

- Big Fish Contest
- The five (5) fish categories for the BIG fish contest are:
- Walleye
- Northern Pike
- Bass
- Pan fish (bag of 10) – Minimum length of 6 inches per fish
- Rough Fish (bag of 10)
- Winners will be determined by:
- Walleye, Northern & Bass: Winning fish will be determined by weight: In the event of a tie, length or final flip of a coin to determine a winner.
- Pan Fish (bag of 10): Winning fish will be determined by weight. In the event of a tie, length or finally the flip of a coin will determine the winner.
- Rough Fish (bag of 10): Winning fish will be determined by weight. In the event of a tie, length or finally the flip of a coin will determine the winner.
- Prizes
- Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, and Pan Fish
- 1st place – $150
- 2nd place – $100
- Rough fish
- 1st place – $50
- 2nd place – $25
- Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, and Pan Fish
- The five (5) fish categories for the BIG fish contest are:
- Fish Registration Drawings
- Drawings to be held at 10:00AM, 12:00PM, 2:00PM, and 4:00PM.
- Entries must be registered before the drawing or be in line to register.
- Limit is one entry per category per person for each 2 hour drawing.
- Hourly drawings are not determined by weight. Any legal fish caught and registered prior to one of the drawings is eligible. The entrant names will be placed in a bucket and drawn for the cash prizes.

- The term “panfish” is defined as any of the following species: bluegill, pumpkinseed, black and white crappie, yellow perch, green sunfish, warmouth, and orangespotted sunfish.

- Rough fish include: suckers, common carp, Asian carp (silver, bighead, black and grass), goldfish, redhorse, freshwater drum, burbot, bowfin, gar, buffalo, lamprey, alewife, gizzard shad, smelt, mooneye, carpsuckers, and white-stripe bass
